August will be hoppin’ at ‘the Frog’!

Beach Week at ‘the Frog’ was terrific!  The music, the food, the laughter, and of course the frog beach balls…when we have another beach week, we will try to get more than 100 of these beach balls – we didn’t expect them to be such a hit with our guests (our apologies to those of you who arrived late in the week and they were already gone!).  Don’t forget to redeem your Tar Ball Bucks during August!  We can’t do anything about the oil spill in the gulf, or the ruined vacation plans for some of you, but the $1.00 off your next lunch purchase with the Tar Ball Buck may help bring the smiles back!

Lily’s Latte at Frosty Frog Creamery & Cafe

We have added a SPECIAL latte to our coffee offerings, and here is why…

Lily Chauvin lost her mother to cancer several years ago.  Today, June 14th would have been her mother’s birthday, and to celebrate her mother AND to do something positive for everyone, Lily is raising money for and will participate in the 3 day walk for Breast Cancer Research – Frosty Frog Creamery & Cafe with the support of their guests will be contributing $1.00 from the sale of every Lily’s latte to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in Lily’s name and in memory of her mother. 

Why don’t you come in, enjoy a Lily’s latte and help with finding a cure for breast cancer?   Frosty Frog Creamery & Cafe will keep Lily’s latte on our menu until the completion of the 3 Day Walk for Breast Cancer Research in October.

It’s our 8th Anniversary!

The OLD Frosty Frog

On May 11, 2002 we opened our doors to serve home made ice cream and specialty coffee to the community of Hickory Flat.  Glenda and I had never been in the restaurant business, and were learning as we went along…thinking how hard can this be…we love to entertain friends at home…now we can entertain lots of people on a daily basis!  Thanks to our wonderful friends and neighbors here in Hickory Flat (and the surrounding communities) who at times were very honest about what we were serving and how they thought we should serve it, we learned, we met and became friends with many folks we previously did not know, we grew, we moved, and we are now celebrating our 8^th Anniversary for the entire month of May, 2010.  We couldn’t have done it without YOU!

 During these 8 years we have continued to make our ice cream

New Frosty Frog

 in the store, growing from the original 30 flavors we started with to over 300 flavors in our recipe collection today.  With 32 flavors in the daily selection, and different flavors introduced into the dipping cabinet daily, you can visit us to satisfy your ice cream craving every day, and have a different flavor almost every day of the year!   Our coffee is still great, from the espresso based drinks to our brewed coffee…nothing but the best for you!  Thank you for making our Chicken Salad and Cheese Spread two of the most sought after items on our menu…we wouldn’t change either because you like it just the way it is, and you let us know that!  CLICK HERE for the rest of the story!
