Staff News…

Several members of our staff GRADUATED from High School this year, and we want to congratulate them and wish them the best as they go off to college in the fall.  We are proud of the fact that all five will be furthering their education!

It’s our 8th Anniversary!

The OLD Frosty Frog

On May 11, 2002 we opened our doors to serve home made ice cream and specialty coffee to the community of Hickory Flat.  Glenda and I had never been in the restaurant business, and were learning as we went along…thinking how hard can this be…we love to entertain friends at home…now we can entertain lots of people on a daily basis!  Thanks to our wonderful friends and neighbors here in Hickory Flat (and the surrounding communities) who at times were very honest about what we were serving and how they thought we should serve it, we learned, we met and became friends with many folks we previously did not know, we grew, we moved, and we are now celebrating our 8^th Anniversary for the entire month of May, 2010.  We couldn’t have done it without YOU!

New Frosty Frog

 in the store, growing from the original 30 flavors we started with to over 300 flavors in our recipe collection today.  With 32 flavors in the daily selection, and different flavors introduced into the dipping cabinet daily, you can visit us to satisfy your ice cream craving every day, and have a different flavor almost every day of the year!   Our coffee is still great, from the espresso based drinks to our brewed coffee…nothing but the best for you!  Thank you for making our Chicken Salad and Cheese Spread two of the most sought after items on our menu…we wouldn’t change either because you like it just the way it is, and you let us know that!  CLICK HERE for the rest of the story!

Easter Frog

April is one of the prettiest months as the flowers, trees, and grasses begin showing their wide array of colors…but there is that pollen!  Fortunately, we have plenty of Air conditioned seating inside to get us away from the pollen, and LARGE windows to allow us to enjoy the blue skies and sunshine!  Plus, the food, desserts, coffee, smoothies, and ice cream put a smile on everyone’s face!  We really look forward to seeing you during the spring season.

Winter is almost over (at least we hope it is)!  We have had MORE SNOW than normal, COLDER TEMPERATURES than we like, PLENTY of wind and rain, and everyone that we talk to is anxious for spring to arrive!  We are too!

Return of SUMMER HOURS!  Beginning March 1, we will be closing later every day!  Monday thru Thursday the new closing time is 9:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday the new closing time is 10:00 p.m.

2010!  January Newsletter

Wow the first decade of the 21^st century is over, and a new decade begins!  What will this decade bring?  One thing is certain…Frosty Frog Creamery & Café will be doing our best to make this a great decade to be living in Hickory Flat Georgia!  We resolve to continue to bring you the very best in ice cream, baked goods, chicken salad, cheese spread, fudge, sandwiches, salads, wraps, desserts, and everything else that we serve to you, our wonderful friends and guests!

Seasons Greetings from Hickory Flat!

December…the last month of the year, the beginning of winter, and one of the very best months for the young and the young at heart!  The Holiday Season is in full swing, stores and homes are decorated for the season, radio stations play seasonal music at least a few times each day, and greeting cards to and from friends and relatives fill our mail boxes. And, with the ending of the year it is a time for reflection on the events that made 2009 the year that it was.

A milestone for us will be December 20^th; marking the ONE YEAR anniversary of our move into our present location!  What a year it has been!  We have been blessed..CLICK HERE for the rest of the story!
